DeSantis Joins Zeldin for 5,000 Person Rally, as Polls Surge
by Niall Fitzgerald
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis joined US Congressman Lee Zeldin, the Republican candidate for Governor of New York, as polls showed the Governor's race tightening to too close to call."
DeSantis joined Zeldin for a nighttime campaign rally in Hauppauge, that drew over 5,000 people.
"Lee Zeldin's victory will be the 21st century version of the shot heard round the world,” stated DeSantis.
“You have a situation here where not only is your state making terrible decisions in driving people away, you have a Governor Hochul who is telling Republicans in New York to leave the state," added Desantis. " How pathetic is that?”
Zeldin was energized and on point, as he pledged to fix the crime problems cause by Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul's "No bail" crime laws.
Under Hochul's "No bail" laws, judges are required to release most violent criminals and cannot impose bail to keep them in jail. This caused a massive increase in violent crime and property crimes, that has made the City very dangerous and impacted people's safety and quality of life.
The Rally was held at an office building parking lot off Motor Parkway.
