Two Valedictorians Named by Huntington HS

by Chris O’Neill

For the first time since 1978, Huntington High School will have “Co-valedictorians.” Seniors Grace Wildermuth and Alexander Bellissimo are the two valedictorians, and both will speak at Huntington High School’s 160th commencement exercises, scheduled to take pace on June 25th.

"As could only happen during a year of so many other unprecedented circumstances, we find our top two students in a tie,” said Principal Brenden Cusack. “I wish both of these outstanding students a hearty congratulations and I am looking forward to seeing their achievements in the future."

Grace Wildermuth, who is planning to study music with a minor in history - perhaps at either Vanderbilt or Northwestern universities - commented that “I am grateful for all the wonderful teachers at Huntington, who have made learning engaging and interesting.”

Alexander Bellissimo, who is considering the University of Virginia or the University of Texas at Austin for electrical engineering/computer science, added “I am very honored to receive this and proud of myself for all of the hard work I have put into my four years at Huntington High School.”

Congratulations to both Grace and Alexander !
