The Democratic opponent to Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman published an article blasting rape victim protection laws, claiming that women often "fabricate rapes."

The candidate - Nassau Legislator Seth Koslow (D-Merrick) - then went on to explain in an article in a Touro law journal, that a woman will fabricate rape claims out of "a desire to hide her own promiscuity," or a "desire / fantasy to be raped," or out of "a desire for vengeance..."

The shocking revelations have rocked the race for County Executive, with many now calling for Koslow to resign from office and withdraw from the race.

Koslow has written several articles attacking shield laws that protect women who were raped, claiming that "men have faced false rape accusations since biblical times..."

Koslow works as a criminal defense attorney, representing criminal defendants, some of whom have been charged with rape, according to Court records.

Blakeman labeled Koslow as "morally unfit" to hold office for his "reckless claim that women fabricate rape because they 'desire it'..."

"Voters face a clear choice," stated Blakeman. "My record of hiring 400 new law enforcement officers and making Nassau the safest county in America, or Koslow's record of keeping thugs out of jail and helping criminals erase their records."

Nassau Democratic Party Chairman Jay Jacobs responded to Blakeman, claiming that it "shows how desperate Bruce Blakeman is for county residents to look away from his dismal record on keeping our communities safe..."

All of the police unions - the PBA, the Detectives, the Superior offices, the Sheriff's officers and the Corrections officers - have endorsed Bruce Blakeman for County Executive.
