Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman has been officially nominated as the Republican Party and Conservative Party candidate for Governor of the State of New York.
Blakeman will face the beleaguered incumbent Governor Kathy Hochul, who is seeking the Democratic Party and socialist Working Families Party nominations, but faces a Democratic primary election being waged against her by her own Lt. Governor, Antonio Delgado.
Hochul got a "boost" recently, as the socialist antisemite Mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani, embraced Hochul's reelection. Mamdani distinguished himself this week by denouncing the death of Iranian dictator Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who murdered over 200,000 people - mostly innocent protestors - seeking freedom in Iran.
“I am honored to officially be the Republican and Conservative Party candidate for Governor of New York and am grateful to Chairman Cox, Chairman Kassar and all of the delegates who share our vision for a more affordable state," stated Blakeman. "While Kathy Hochul drives up taxes and sends electricity bills soaring, we are building the coalition that will win statewide in November and restore common-sense leadership to Albany.”
Blakeman is running on his strong record of fighting crime, protecting women and children, and reducing taxes in Nassau County. With over 1.5 million residents, Nassau County is New York's most prosperous and second largest by population suburban county in New York.
