Dead Body Found in Glen Cove Creek

The dead body of a 68-year-old man was found floating last week in the icy waters of Glen Cove Creek, off Safe Harbor Marina in Glen Cove.

The Glen Cove Police Department is still actively investigating this matter.

According to Nassau County Police operatives, a concerned party called 911 at 8:36AM to report a person floating in the water of Safe Harbor Marina, located at 128 Shore Road in Glen Cove, New York.

The Nassau County Marine Bureau, Nassau County Emergency Service Unit, Glen Cove Police Department, and Glen Cove Fire Department all immediately responded to the scene.

Glen Cove Emergency services recovered the floating body from the water. During the initial investigation, the emergency medical personnel pronounced the 68-year-old man dead at 10:48AM.

The identity of the 68-year-old man has not yet been released by police.

The investigation by the Glen Cove Police Department is still ongoing.
