Editorial: The Horrors of Anthony Fauci
Last week, Anthony Fauci - the longtime former Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) - the US government agency that regulates and funds infectious disease programs for the United States - appeared under subpoena to testify before the US Senate.
As the man who directed the 2020-23 COVID pandemic policies of the United States, Fauci was expected to shed some light on the origin, spread, lockdowns, school shutdowns, masking, social isolation, and ultimate vaccine policies over a COVID-19 pandemic that killed over 1.2 million Americans.
Instead Fauci refused to speak - pleading the Fifth Amendment against self-incrimination. That despite his facing no federal criminal exposure, due to a sweeping criminal Pardon from ex-President Joe Biden.
Research since the pandemic has exposed Fauci as having illegally funded the "Gain of Function" medical research - laundered through an intermediary - in Wuhan, China.
Then - to avoid exposure - Fauci repeatedly lied about the origins and spread of COVID, and actively suppressed and censored the work of doctors and scientists who traced the origin of COVID to the lab funded by Fauci.
Doctors and scientists who correctly identified the origin of COVID, and who recommended "focused protection" policies (The Great Barrington Declaration) that differed from Fauci's "maximum lockdown" policies - were shut down, censored and mocked as "quacks" and "extremists."
People like Dr. Jay Bhattacharia (Stanford); Dr. Martin Kulldorff (Harvard), Dr. Sunetra Gupta (Oxford) and Dr. Marty Makary (Johns Hopkins) all faced the censorship and wrath of a US government under Fauci's control.
Fauci set himself up as a "High Priest" of medicine and science - crushing dissent. "I am science" he declared.
But in real science there are no "high priests." Science is a process - of logic and experimentation and data analysis. Every conclusion in science is - and must be - subject to question and challenge. Where the research and data prove a scientific theory or conclusion wrong, then it must be revised or replaced. That is real science.
In the darkest days of the Soviet Union, under dictator Josef Stalin, his "Science Commissar" was a pompous thuggish bureaucrat named Trofim Lysenko.
Lysenko espoused a quack "Neo-Lamarckian" science theory - and then applied it to crop genetics and Soviet agriculture policy. Lysenko's new crops failed - and millions of people starved to death.
Real scientists - like Soviet geneticist Nikolai Vavilov - who had dared criticize Lysenko's quackery - were then targeted, arrested, and killed in Stalin's prisons. To cover-up Lysenko's crimes.
Anthony Fauci is very much America's Trofim Lysenko: He defied US law to play Dr. Frankenstein with lethal viruses. The monster broke-out and killed millions. Fauci then used his government power to lie, censor, trash real science, and cover-up for all his crimes.
He even got a presidential criminal pardon.
What a monstrous crime. And what a disgrace.
