Editorial: The US - and Israel - Should Strike Iran Now

For over 45 years, the "Islamic Republic" of Iran has made hatred of America and death to Americans its national ideology.

In 1979, a popular Revolution overthrew the Iranian monarchy - the Shahs of Iran - but power was then seized by a ruthless gang of medieval Muslim clerics and their fanatical followers.

Once the Shah was expelled, the Shiite Muslim clerics seized total power - setting up a "Mullah's Dictatorship" and quickly killing or jailing the "liberal" and "socialist" opposition to the Shah.

The Shiite Islamist dictatorship was set-up by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini - and his political operative thug Ayatollah Mohammed Beheshti - and continues under current "Supreme Leader" Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iran went from being a US ally under the Shahs - to a bitter enemy, with Iran sponsoring terrorism, guerilla attacks, airline hijackings, random missile attacks on civilians and commercial ships - and mass murder within Iran.

The regime set-up a system of brutal prisons and Islamic Courts to - as described by one Islamic judge - "kill, kill, kill..."  After 45 years, the regime has executed over 100,000 people.

Iran has been developing nuclear weapons for the past 20 years - and was only stopped by last year's air strikes by the US and Israel.

Since then, Iran has been rapidly rebuilding its missile systems - while ordinary people go hungry.

Now the people of Iran are rising up in the streets: Millions of people are marching in every major city and town, and have attacked - and been attacked by - the Islamic Republic's terror squads - the "Revolutionary Guard."

President Trump has warned the regime to stop mass-executing civilian protestors, but the regime is a regime of blood.

One young protestor, 26-year-old Irfan Sultani, was arrested last week for speaking for "freedom" - and has already been sentenced by the Iranian regime to death - for "waging wear against God..."

There is no negotiating with a fanatic regime that believes in messianic annihilation - and that wants nuclear weapons to help it kill millions.

The time is now.  The regime is tottering and the people of Iran want their freedom and their country back from the Islamist dictatorship. 

Air strikes by the US and Israel - to support freedom and end the Islamic Republic tyranny - will succeed.

It is time to act.
