Endorsement: Bruce Blakeman for NY Governor

Four years ago, this newspaper endorsed Lee Zeldin for Governor, arguing that Kathy Hochul’s dismal record as the sycophantic Lt Governor to disgraced ex-Governor Andrew Cuomo - a serial sex abuser and the killer of 15,000 nursing home patients through his horrible nursing home orders - made her grossly unqualified to be elected Governor.
She has been worse than we ever expected.
Hochul has used her office for a series of partisan political moves to “change the rules” to cheat on elections - no-security mail in balloting; no voter ID; an illegal mid-term redistricting gerrymander; and the cancelation of most odd-year county and town elections - the better to drown out local Republicans under the tens of millions in gubernatorial and presidential campaign spending. Total corruption.
And Hochul is “for sale” to sell us out: Hochul’s “Empire Wind” deal with a Norwegian windmill maker is built on her agreement that we will pay $155 per MW hour - when the market rate for gas or nuclear electricity is $40 per MW hour. But her lobbyist husband and cronies are all getting rich.
The rise of anti-Semite leftist Islamist Zohran Mamdani - who now effectively controls Hochul - is a legacy of Hochul’s enabling the "Democratic Socialists of America" - a group of extreme leftists spewing ethnic hatred against Jews, Christians and Hindus. Mamdani finds Hochul useful - for now.
Bruce Blakeman is everything we want and need in a Governor.
A highly- successful Nassau County Executive who strengthened the police, reduced crime, reduced taxes, and stood strong for traditional values - especially for girls and women being threatened by the “transgender” woke madness.
Blakeman is the best County Executive Nassau County has ever had.
A fiscally conservative, moderate Republican, only Blakeman can save New York from the massive outflow of businesses and capital - that has now reached epidemic proportions.
New York needs Bruce Blakeman.
The Leader strongly endorses Bruce Blakeman for Governor of New York State.
