Endorsement - Chad Lupinacci for Suffolk Legislature (District 16)

Former NYS Assemblyman and Huntington Supervisor Chad Lupinacci is looking to make a comeback after stepping down from a reelection campaign for Supervisor four years ago.

Lupinacci is challenging freshman Suffolk Legislator Rebecca Sanin, who has represented this Huntington Station, West Hills, Elwood and Brentwood district over the past two years.

This newspaper has previously endorsed Chad Lupinacci on several occasions, and did NOT endorse Sanin when she ran for Supervisor four years ago - mostly on the issue of apartment over-construction, which Sanin embraced, but her then-opponent Smyth lied about, and said he was against.

Lupinacci is a deeply committed public servant - and he very much wants to serve our community again in a useful way.  He is also a hard worker and campaigner, who enjoys people and trying to solve problems to make people's lives better.
