Endorsement: Jen DeSena for North Hempstead Supervisor

Elected just five short years ago, North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jennifer DeSena has transformed the Town into serving our homeowners and residents first.

When DeSena took over, North Hempstead was mired in decades of Building Department corruption so bad that businesses just stayed away.  And taxes just went up - year after year - to fund the Democrats' self-serving patronage swamp of highly-paid, do-nothing political hacks.

DeSena has been a burst of sunlight and fresh air. She is a Democrat, who is elected on the Republican line. She brings a professional and bipartisan style of management to the town.

The Building Department was cleaned-up - with corrupt and useless hacks fired and a "residents first" one-stop-shop reform of the department's services to local property owners.

DeSean has frozen or cut taxes every year she has been Supervisor - not an easy feat when some towns in Suffolk are now demanding 19% tax increases.

And DeSena's environmental record is pristine - whether by raising and seeding shellfish to clean our harbors, or releasing quail to naturally control insects.
