Glen Cove's Beachfront "Island Vibes" Events are Back

After last summer's tremendous turnout for the "Island Vibes" waterfront event, the City of Glen Cove has scheduled a new series of Island Vibes events over a five-week schedule at Pryibil Beach.

This year's "Island Vibes" will take place every Wednesday from August 5th through September 2nd - from 6:00PM to 9:00PM - at Pryibil Beach on East Beach Road.

The events are open to everyone.

Guests can enjoy food trucks, live entertainment, children’s activities, and beautiful sunsets overlooking the Long Island Sound.

Pryibil Beach offers shaded areas, picnic tables, a playground, volleyball court and fishing pier. Attendees are encouraged to bring beach chairs and blankets and "wear their tropical best." 

“This is an opportunity for residents and visitors to come together, experience the beauty of Glen Cove and enjoy all that our city has to offer,” stated Glen Cove Mayor Pamela Panzenbeck. "After the incredible response to last year’s one-night event, we are excited to expand Island Vibes into a five-week series at Pryibil Beach.”

"This is the perfect setting for food, music, family activities and an incredible sunset,” added  Roni Jenkins, Glen Cove's Public Relations Officer and Director of Special Events.

Island Vibes is organized by the Glen Cove Special Events Committee, a volunteer organization dedicated to creating activities that bring the community together.

• August 26: Freestyle Night with DJ Master Jay

Featuring: All American Wontons, Cousins Maine Lobster, Dominick’s Chicken Tender, Donna’s Italian Sausage, Uneek Eatz N Treatz, Sid’s, Chiddy’s Cheesesteak, The Good Food Truck, Sweet Mouth Jamaican Food Pastries and Tings, Royal Elite BBQ, Filthy Pig BBQ, J & J Taste, Scoop N Fruit, Ms. Sauce Plates, The Sweet Love Company, Dilly Donuts, Knot of the World and The Lemon Life.
