The Holy Child Academy in Old Westbury has launched their 2025-26 school year with new leadership, and a new energy and vision for excellence.

HCA welcomed a new Head of School - Margaret Marchand - the former President of the Locust Valley School Board, along with new Principal Dr. Martorelli, a respected and distinguished leader in education.

"HCA is embracing a bold vision that blends academic excellence, character development, and innovation," stated Marchand. "All rooted in a tradition of faith and service, since the school’s founding in 1959."

This year also marks the launch of several new initiatives, including Long Island’s first and only Lacrosse Academy integrated into a school setting. This unique program is designed to support student-athletes without compromising their academic experience, offering elite coaching alongside a rigorous curriculum.

Students were welcomed back to a newly renovated Library, a space reimagined for collaborative learning, research, and exploration.

“We are committed to developing well-rounded students—scholars, athletes, artists, and leaders—on our beautiful campus,” said Marchand. “Holy Child Academy is a guidepost for what education can be on Long Island: joyful, purposeful, and rooted in strong values.”

As families seek alternatives to traditional models of education, Holy Child Academy continues to stand out as a nurturing, forward-thinking community dedicated to helping every child thrive.
