Huntington Math Society Inducts 52

52 new students were inducted into Huntington High School’s chapter of Mu Alpha Theta, otherwise known as the "Mathematics Honor Society."

The induction at Huntington High School marked the 26th anniversary since the competition began.

Eligibility requirements include students taking coursework more advanced than Algebra 2, and receiving a graded score average higher than an 85 in Algebra 2.

The faculty board includes Cecilia Kye (president), Erin Scanlon (vice president), Aislyn Franciscovich (secretary), Evan Spagnoletti (treasurer) and Nikolai Seferian (tutoring coordinator).

The 52 new student inductees include Michael Ambrozy, Anthony Annunziata, Melvin Avelar-Romero, Kathryn Barba, Kayleigh Bender, Emely Cruz, Ashton Davies, Rylee Davis, Deanna Elvir, Katherine Estrada, Andrew Ganley, Natalie Garcia, Thomas Girimonti, Emma Glascock, Charlotte Gordon, Ethan Goleski, Emma Hannigan, Dylan Hayden, Cristel Hernandez, Jada Joseph, Marley Joseph, Sophia Kaloudis, Ella Kamenstein, Patrick Knieriem, Samantha Koepele, Sophia Lange, Shaina Linker, Hillel Linker, Jennier Lopez Del Cid and Jessica Maixner, Andrea Mani-Munoz, Mary Marinello, Jannel Marroquin, Ruby Meidenman, Riley Murtagh, Chloe Northrop, Ella O’Heir, Neurdia Osias, Jordana Paniccia, Kimberly Panameno, Brooke Parks, Olivia Polinsky, Reese Rinaldi, Sol Rodriguez, Chelsea Romero, Jack Ruthkowski, Nicholas Sclafani, Hannah Song, Eli Soric, Kaylee Splendorio, Karla Velasquez-Umanzor and Angel Villatoro.

The induction of the group into Mu Alpha Theta is a huge honor, and recognition of outstanding accomplishment and ability in mathematics.
