The race for the north shore Third Congressional District (Huntington, Oyster Bay, North Hempstead and NE Queens) has just gotten a little more complica

ted as attorney Gregory Hach qualified to run a Republican primary against 2024 Nominee and current GOP designee, Michael LiPetri.
LiPetri, a former one-term NYS Assemblyman from Massapequa, is 35 years old, and ran as the Republican and Conservative parties nominee against incumbent Congressman, Democrat Thomas Suozzi (D-Glen Gove).
Hach, an attorney, is 55 years old, and was the founding partner of Hach & Rose a Manhattan-based personal injury law firm.
The Third congressional district is a classic "swing district" having voted for Joe Biden in 2020; but then voted for Donald Trump in 2024.
In the 2024 election, Suozzi narrowly defeated LiPetri for US Congress by only three points.
In 2022, the Third congressional district voted 58% for GOP nominee Lee Zeldin for Governor; giving incumbent Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul only 42% of the vote.
In that election, disgraced fraudster George Santos won 54% against 46% for Democrat Robert Zimmerman, riding the "Zeldin wave" to an unexpected victory. Santos was removed from office only 11 months later and pled "Guilty" to multiple crimes before the federal court.
Both Hach and LiPetri are running as "MAGA" Republicans, and supporting the policies of President Donald Trump.
LiPetri has already received the Conservative Party line, having been endorsed by that party.
The Republican primary election will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd.
