Joe Saladino for Oyster Bay Supervisor
Joe Saladino runs the "best-run town on Long Island," according to nearly all municipal analysts. Saladino took office eight years ago after a series of scandals and a crash in municipal finances. Saladino took charge - firing corrupt and incompetent officials - and assembling the best talent and team on Long Island.
After eight years - it shows: Taxes are down; bond ratings are up - way up; Parks, ballfields, skating rinks are all clean and safe; Beaches are clean, garbage-free and raked; Recreational programs are the envy of the world; Environmental programs - like the oyster seeding program - are rejuvenating our marine environment.
We could go on and on - but the bottom line is that Joe Saladino and his Town Board have done an outstanding job.
The Leader endorses Joe Saladino for Oyster Bay Town Supervisor.
Lou Imbroto, Thomas Hand and Andrew Monteleone for Oyster Bay Town Board
The Republican teammates of Supervisor Joe Saladino are - each of them - outstanding public servants - with unique strengths and talents. Most importantly, Lou Imbroto, Tom Hand and Andrew Monteleone all work as a team with Joe Saladino - bringing in new and good ideas - and contributing to the public good. No political games, no sleazy backstabbing - just a mature approach by competent people to best serve the public.
Joe Saladino could not have made Oyster Bay the "best-run Town in Long Island" without this team.
The Leader endorses Lou Imbroto, Thomas Hand and Andrew Monteleone for Oyster Bay Town Board.
Rich LaMarca for Oyster Bay Town Clerk.
Rich LaMarca is often praised as "Mr. Oyster Bay" for his community leadership and public spirit.
LaMarca goes the extra step to serve the public - whether it is a public service window for quick curbside service; of "Passport Saturdays" where residents can stop-in and have their passport applications processed; or the public-friendly attitude that LaMarca insists upon from all his staff - LaMarca has made the Town Clerk's office a helpful, efficient and pleasant office for the public.
The Leader endorses Rich LaMarca for Oyster Bay Town Clerk.
