LV Water Chair Re-Elected Nassau-Suffolk Association Prez

The Nassau Suffolk Water Commissioners’ Association (NSWCA) elected a new governing Board and re-elected Patricia Peterson of the Locust Valley Water District as the Association's President.
Also elected were 1st Vice President Ralph Atoria of the South Farmingdale Water District; 2nd Vice President John F. Coumatos of the Bethpage Water District; Secretary Joseph Perry of the South Huntington Water District; and Treasurer Michael Kosinski of the Roslyn Water District.
“This new Board consists of an experienced group of talented and dedicated voter-elected commissioners from local water suppliers,” stated Peterson. "Our 21 members districts within Nassau and Suffolk Counties have the important responsibility of providing quality water that meets or exceeds all local, state and federal standards, to the 620,000 consumers we serve, without interruption and without compromise."
The Nassau Suffolk Water Commissioners’ Association (NSWCA) is comprised of water commissioners elected by voters in each of 21 Nassau County and Suffolk County water districts. Founded in 1981, The NSWCA is dedicated to promoting environmental excellence and best practices as well as to maintaining the highest standards of water quality and supply.
"I am confident in the leadership of our association," added Peterson. "As we fulfill our mission of being an authoritative voice in water supply by educating the public regarding sustainability, conservation, and the health of our aquifer.”
The Nassau Suffolk Water Commissioners’ Association sponsors regular educational meetings and training on topics that include compliance, the environment, security, economics, conservation, sustainability, remediation, water treatment and aquifer health, among other issues germane to water utilities.
