Oyster Bay Music Festival Opens Busy Summer Season

The Oyster Bay Music Festival begins its 13th season on June 27th through July 4th.

 

The Festival will present 12 completely different concert programs in 9 charming venues along the Gold Coast of Long Island. The event includes 10 free concerts (no tickets required) and 2 ticketed events on June 30th.

 

This year's venues include Christ Church, Oyster Bay; Raynham Hall Education Center; the Wooden Boat Shop at the Western Waterfront in Oyster Bay; Old Westbury Gardens; St. John's Church in Cold Spring Harbor; Cedarmere, the Roslyn Estate of William Cullen Bryan;  the Unitarian Congregation of Manhasset; and the Huntington Summer Arts Series at the Chapin Stage in Hecksher Park.

 

The stars of this year's Oyster Bay Music Festival include world-class performers, almost all in their twenties.

 

They include Maxim Lando, pianist from Great Neck and Young Concert Artists Winner, currently in his third year at Juilliard and concertizing internationally, National Symphony Orchestra flutist and Long Island native Matthew Ross; French/Viennese bassist Marc-André, who is redefining the possibilities of the bass and reaching millions of people through his innovative videos; German violinist Tassilo Probst, who is making musical headlines throughout Europe; virtuoso bassoonist Eleni Katz, who recently won the prestigious Concert Artist Guild Auditions; Soprano Teddy Siegel.

Saturday, June 29th

10:00 am Flute Masterclass with Matt Ross at St. John's Episcopal Church, Cold Spring Harbor

 

7:30 pm With Reception following performance Inspiration and Notation at St. John's Episcopal Church, Cold Spring Harbor
