Oyster Bay, North Hempstead "Stand with the People of Israel"
By Rupert Deedes
The Towns of Oyster Bay and North Hempstead "support and stand with the people of Israel" in the wake of the horrific terrorist attacks from Hamas out of Gaza that killed over 1,400 people - many of them seniors, children and babies.
In Oyster Bay, Supervisor Joseph Saladino joined with his colleagues on the Town Board in passing a special resolution to stand in solidarity with the State of Israel, and unequivocally condemn Hamas for its horrific terrorist attack. “We join the civilized world in denouncing Hamas’ brutal acts of terror and demand the safe return of all hostages." stated Saladino. "We pray for the safety of Town resident Omer Neutra of Plainview," added Saladino. "He serves in the Israel Defense Forces, and is being held captive in Gaza.” “We stand with the Jewish people and support the right for Israel to defend itself,” added Receiver of Taxes Jeffrey Pravato. In North Hempstead, Supervisor Jennifer DeSena denounced the horrific terrorist attacks, and ordered that Town Hall in Manhasset be lit in blue and white colors to show solidarity with the people of Israel.
