Saladino Stands Up for Asian-Americans
by Niall Fitzgerald
"We are proud to stand with Asian-Americans" against the wave of street crime targeting Asians, stated Oyster Bay Supervisor Joe Saladino. "We are truly blessed that many Asian-Americans call Oyster Bay home."
"According to recent reports... violence against people of Asian heritage, are on the rise," added Saladino, who added that the violent crime targeting Asians - in places like New York City - "will NEVER be tolerated in our Town of Oyster Bay..."
Violent crimes against Asian-Americans have increased nationally since last year, reflecting both the general rise in violent crime since the BLM /Antifa riots of 2020, and a race hatred of Asians from certain groups who resent the work ethic and success of Asian immigrants and Asian-Americans.
"This week, we in the Indian-American community are celebrating Phagwah, also known as Holi, the Spring festival of Color, to celebrate the divine love of Radha and Krishna," said Deborah Misir, the Chairman of the Indian American Bar Association of Long Island. "It signifies the triumph of good over evil, as it celebrates the victory of Lord Vishnu over the forces of evil."
"The attacks on Asian-Americans are abhorrent," noted Misir. "and should rouse all decent people against such criminality."
"I want to thank Supervisor Joe Saladino personally for his support of Asian Americans against the evil of criminality and violence." added Misir. "We stand with him in defense of all people who refuse to be victimized by criminals."
