Santa Teams-up with Saladino for Children's Letters
by Maureen Daly
Santa Claus has named a special new helper this year. At Santa's request, Oyster Bay Supervisor Joseph Saladino has been put in charge of a team of newly-deputized Elves, to make sure that every child who sends a letter to Santa will get a reply back from Santa before Christmas.
Saladino and the town's own Elves have already set up special red mailboxes to collect letters to Santa.
Letters received by Thursday, December 16th with a legible name and return address will be answered by Santa before Christmas.
Letters to Santa do not require postage and may be dropped off in the red mailboxes set up at the following locations:
Town Hall North-54 Audrey Avenue, Oyster Bay
Town Hall South-977 Hicksville Road, Massapequa
Ice Skating Center-1001 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage
Hicksville Athletic Center-167 S. Broadway, Hicksville
Mailboxes are available weekdays from 9:00AM to 4:45PM, through December 16th.
