Suozzi, LiPetri Win Primary Elections, Will Face-off in November

Congressman Thomas Suozzi (D-Glen Cove) and Republican challenger Mike LiPetri won their respective primary elections and will face-off in the north shore 3rd congressional district this November.

The Suozzi-LiPetri race is a re-match from two years ago, when Suozzi narrowly defeated LiPetri by three (3) points.

The Third Congressional district includes most of the Town of Oyster Bay, the northwest third of the Town of Huntington, most of the Town of North Hempstead, and a small section of northeast Queens.

In the neighboring First congressional district (Huntington, Smithtown, Hamptons), incumbent Congressman Nick LaLota (R-Suffolk) had no primary, and will face-off against Democratic challenger Chris Gallant, who won his primary.

New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli (D-Great Neck) won his Democratic primary for re-election as State Comptroller.

In the Fourth congressional district (Garden City, Valley Stream), Jeanine Driscoll won the Republican primary and will face freshman Congresswoman Laura Gillen (D-Freeport) in November.

Michael LiPetri, 82%

Gregory Hach, 18%

NY-1 Democratic Primary

Christopher Gallant, 63%

Lukas Ventouras, 37%

NY-4 Republican Primary

Jeanine Driscoll, 91%

Marvin Williams, 9%

NYS Comptroller Democratic Primary

Thomas DiNapoli, 66%

Drew Warshaw, 20%

Raj Goyle, 14%
