Two teens - aged 16 and 17 - were arrested Friday afternoon, after they assaulted two drivers in Bayville.

The incidents started in Stehli Beach in Bayville, when the two assailants were tossing garbage and trash onto the ground.

A 38 year old man asked the teens to "Stop Littering" and the teens responded with a rush of profanity, according to police. The teens then assaulted the man with a lacrosse stick and a baseball bat.

The man then tried to drive away, but the agitated teens drove around him and cut him off. They then stopped their car - a 2021 black Mercedes - in the street, and the two jumped out of their car with the baseball bat and lacrosse stick.

The teens then attacked the man's car, slamming on the hood and headlights with the bat, and then coming around to assault the man.

The man backed-up rapidly to escape the teens, and then drove away.

Shortly after this incident, the teens attacked a 25-year-old woman on Bayville Avenue in Bayville.

They cut her off and stopped their car in the street, and exited their car.

When the woman tried to drive around the teens' stopped car, they struck her rear window as she tried to get away.

The two teens were arrested by Nassau Police, and charged with second-degree criminal mischief, second- and third-degree menacing, second-degree reckless endangerment, and weapons possession.

Their names have not been released, because of their age.
